Well the four weeks have been exciting although the weather has not performed the fish really have with the highlight definitely being the first 40lb carp caught on Bleu.

Rouge

Two of the last four weeks have been pretty tough for the Rouge fishermen, I wouldn't be a fisherman if I didn't come up with all the excuses like weather, spawning, etc.But the lake has finally turned the corner with two weeks ago the lake produced 7 big thirties and a definite 40 lost at the net which I witnessed. Last week was also fantastic with 11 thirties including one over 39 Lbs and two big cat over sixty pounds.

Vert

This continues to produce vast numbers of fish on a weekly basis with at least 70+ fish caught by two or three anglers. I am really please to say that the average size of these fish is going up with a lot of twenty pound carp and cats. The biggest cats have been 6 over thirty pound and one really big one over 50lbs. If you want to be almost guaranteed a lot of fish and the chance of some really big ones then this is the lake for you.

Bleu

Bleu has continued with its early season excellence and has actually got better. The bigger Carp are now coming out with two weeks ago 11 thirties and the first record 40+ lb Mirror. This is a real milestone for the lake and it can only get better because several carp were in the upper thirties. Cats continue to give the bleu fisherman some arm aching battles with a total this year of 16 cats over 50lbs including two of 80.
