2006 Season Closes

Another magical year has now finished!

What I would like to do first is thank all the fishermen who have visited the lakes this year and I look forward to seeing many of you again next year.The final weeks in October proved to be incredibly productive with also very good weather. We are currently doing some work on the website so it may not be up and running all the time, however, when it is all finished there will be additional functionality including a forum.

Rouge
After Rouge produced the record Catfish of 108lbs the next two weeks managed 10 30lb+ Carp, 1 40lb+ Carp, 1 80lb+ Catfish and 2 90lb+ Catfish. These are just the highlights with many more doubles and twenties. 'The Three Brummies' had a fantastic fortnight with superb weather and temperatures well into the twenties (thats centigrade!).

Bleu
Bleu was not fished except for a few nights by me but I did manage to achieve my ambition of a big Catfish. This weighed in at 88 pounds and is the lake record. On another night I managed 8 Carp from 18 to 34 pounds and a Catfish of 29 pounds.

So all in all October was a belting month.

I will be doing a full annual write up in a few weeks giving the main highlights of the year.
