The rain came!Rouge Another hard week on Rouge, though this time the problem was not getting fish to pick up baits, but rather getting them on the bank! Nigel and martin had awful luck targeting the big cats and lost (at the last count) 5 sizeable fish. As regular visitors to the lakes, and veterans of Catfish over 90lb, when these guys say it was a biggie i have no doubt! Whilst it was quiet on the Carp front, one short feeding spell resulted in 23lb and 27lb Carp before the rain came again and things went quiet. Thanks to martin for sending us these pictures of one of the Cats they did bank, and a lovely 17lb Common. Here hoping for better weather in September chaps!
BleuIt was an interesting week all round on Bleu as 4 anglers returned to the papillon complex 10 years after their first visit, bringing with them the original Exclusive Angling Holidays promotional video (fascinating watching!).
All four anglers caught steadily and banked over 1400lbs of fish throughout the week. At the last count there had been a 28lb Carp banked and a 40lb+ Catfish - great fishing lads, and i look forward to seeing some pictures!

A week of big Catfish!Rouge Terry and Andy provided fine entertainment during their week, and banked a few fish to boot! Although the Carp on Rouge continued to prove tricky they banked some nice specimens to 29lbs and topped off with a few of the medium sized cats. Great work lads, and we'll look forward to seeing you on Bleu in June.
Vert The lads on Rouge dropped onto Vert for an evening during their week - and boy were the results spectacular! I was witness to the capture of 2 30lb+ Cats, 3 20lb fish (2 Cats, one Carp) and around 5 other fish...in under 4 hours! By fishing with one rod each in the dam wall margins, the boys really cleaned up.
BleuAs promised, a few more pictures of the 93lber!
Alan and John fished solely for the cats, and were rewarded with several fine specimens in addition to the 93lber:
In addition, whilst having 'a bit of a break' they took several 20lb+ Carp to 27lbs! See you again in July and October!

Newsflash!!BleuExclusive Angling Holidays guests John and Alan banked a season's best 93lb Catfish from Bleu last night! Taken on a small roach livebait fished 'Dumbell style' from the island, the beast took Alan's rod - unluckily for him he was hitting a take on another rod so John stepped in to take control. More (better) pictures to follow shortly.

A post-spawning feed on BleuRouge Rouge can be a tricky water at times, and despite all the signs looking positive for a great week's fishing the four experienced anglers fishing the lake struggled to get hold of the lake's larger residents. Around 13 fish were taken throughout the week despite some top angling, with the largest being dubbed 'Lumpy' and weighing in at the 35lb mark.
Not disheartened, the guys are planning to return next year and conquer the lake - fair play fellas! Pictures to follow.
Vert As we always say, when Vert is not booked the anglers on Rouge and Bleu are welcome to drop a line in and get a taste of the superb sport on offer. Towards the end of the week, the lads on Bleu popped up and had a ball catching fish off the top. To top it all off, on the very last cast of Friday evening they landed this superb 32lb Catfish!
BleuWell, what a week they had! The fish were on a serious post-spawning munch and the 4 lads fishing took superb advantage to bank
over 130 fish including countless twenties and Catfish to 50lbs! I've seen some hauling on Bleu before, but this really showed me the potential of the lake. Here are the pick of the pictures, but i've also added a
special gallery here for them:
See you next year guys, we'll be ready for another stock-take by then!
