John and William James
Joint owners of the Exclusive Angling Holidays venue: Etangs Des Papillons. Both started carp fishing together in 1993.
" My name is John James, and I took ownership of the Etangs des Papillons lakes from Colin Maclean in January of 2004.
I first visited the lakes in 1996, fishing Vert with my son William and from that first holiday I was totally hooked. Since then I have visited regularly, each time finding something new to love about the lakes, the Dordogne region and the country as a whole.
It has been my dream to own my own lake ever since I started serious carp fishing in 1993, so when the opportunity to fulfil that dream arose, I had no choice but to take it!
The quality and quantity of the fish and your perfect holiday are my main priorities so if you ever need any help, or have any queries please do not hesitate in talking to me."
John's personal best from Etangs des Papillons is 47 lb 8 oz Mirror carp, 30 lb 4oz Common and 75lb Catfish. John lives permanently in France, so is always on site and available for help if needed
William graduated from Lancaster University in 2004 with a BA Honours degree in Economics, and is now involved in the marketing and advertising of Exclusive Angling Holidays. Living in the UK, he is responsible for much of the booking process and correspondence. His personal bests are 45 lb 2 oz Carp and 68 lb 8 oz Catfish, both caught in 2004 from Rouge and Bleu respectively.

Stefan and Doris
Stefan and Doris (non anglers) own the select campsite that Exclusive Angling Holidays mobile homes are situated on. The restaurant, the swimming pool, the bar, are all down to Stefan. Stefan and Doris also speak German, Dutch and French and will always help out if you have a problem.

Monique and Roger
Monique, aided by her husband Roger (both non-anglers), ably ensure all the cleaning and standards of cleaning are kept to our required levels every week of the season at Etangs des Papillons mobile home location.
